Study Courses

This course aims to improve English skills and covers general English, speaking, reading, writing, listening.

This course covers Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and are very practical based, putting classroom theory to the test.

For information on general science courses click HERE

Total teaching hours: 24 hours for students aged 10-12 years and 21 hours for students aged 13-17 years

Maximum class size: 10 for students aged 10-12 years and 15 for students aged 13-17 years

Students will be asked to complete an online test before arrival which will help with placing them in the correct level group. The link to this test will be issued 2 weeks prior to the course start date and will take 50 – 90 minutes to complete. They will also complete a shorter test at Concord on either 2 July or 23 July to confirm the results of the online testing.

Science courses are taught in English but are not an English course. Therefore, students joining the Science course will need a minimum level of B1.

To encourage learning and progression, students will be assessed on a weekly basis and receive feedback on their progress and details of areas in which they can develop their learning.

Students will complement their general study with an academic course or skills workshop. Find out more about our Discovery Workshops (age 10 -12 years) and Academic Courses (age 13-17 years) by clicking on the links below.
