Summer School EFL Teacher 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team to deliver high quality English lessons on our 2023 summer school. We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic, energetic and well-organised. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is the ability to adapt and work flexibly even when under pressure. In addition to delivering a high standard academic programme, applicants are expected to contribute to the Summer School’s Enrichment Activity Programme and the Social Programme. As this will include evening and weekend work on a rota basis, a residential option is available.

Applicants must have a degree in addition to an accredited EFL qualification such as Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL. At least one year’s EFL teaching experience is desirable. A PGCE in English/Modern Foreign Languages or Primary QTA may also be considered acceptable.

Proficiency in both spoken and written English and previous experience of living or working in the UK is essential.

Summer School Music Instructor (Session 1 only)

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic music instructor who can inspire and enthuse others and who is willing to contribute to session 1 of our 2023 Summer School’s Enrichment Activity Programme.

Applicants will be expected to deliver 4 x 1.5 hours sessions between 1 July to 18 July 2023. The rate of pay will be £15 per hour.

We expect the applicants to be suitably qualified with a relevant degree and possess the ability to teach our students (between 10 to 17 years). Relevant performing experience will be an advantage, although it is not essential.

Summer School Minibus Driver

The role of Minibus driver will be to provide a reliable and safe transport service to students from the College attending sports and social activities as part of our 2023 Summer School. Drivers will be required in 4 working days of each week between 1 July to 18 July 2023 and 22 July to 8 August 2023. Hours of work may vary but will be between 3pm and 10pm.

The rate of pay will be £11.83 per hour.

The successful applicant must possess good communication skills and be able to build relationships with our staff and students. The ability to be flexible to accommodate last minute changes is essential.

All applicants must hold a full, clean British driving licence with D1 classification. It is a requirement that all drivers successfully complete a driving assessment conducted by the College’s Transport Team before undertaking any driving duties.

Summer School Assistant (Session 1 only)

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of Summer School Assistants on session 1 of our 2023 summer school. We are looking for applicants who are energetic and enthusiastic. They must possess a professional yet caring approach, be empathetic and enjoy working with children. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential as is the ability to adapt and work flexibly even when under pressure.

Applicants must have attained or be studying towards a degree. Experience of working with young people is preferred. A qualification in either health & social care, working with young people, sport, performing arts or art is desirable.

Applications from applicants with academic backgrounds in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business and Management, Medicine, Engineering, Politics, Philosophy and Law are desirable.
