SUMMER SCHOOL

EFL TEACHER

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced EFL Teacher to join our 2026 Summer School. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a passionate and driven team in a diverse and fast paced environment. The Teacher will plan and present high-quality lessons, teaching in an engaging and motivational way to enable students to improve their English skills. Teachers should prepare work aimed at the appropriate level of the students. The post holder will report directly to the Assistant Director (Academic Studies – English & Humanities).

A degree plus an accredited EFL qualification such as Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL is essential. At least one year’s EFL teaching experience with young learners is desirable. A PGCE in English/Modern Foreign Languages or Primary QTS may also be considered acceptable.

Proficiency in both spoken and written English and previous experience of living or working in the UK is essential.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. The College does not apply for work permits, visas or offer sponsorship.

Course dates:

Thursday 16th July – Monday 3rd August 2026

Please note: The above dates include induction training days, which are paid contracted days, and attendance is mandatory for all Summer School staff.

The salary range is between £1,680 and £2,040 and is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

These figures are based on working a full session. In addition to a competitive salary, the College provides accommodation, a laundry service and three meals a day.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a passionate and driven team in a diverse and fast paced environment. The Teacher will plan and present high-quality lessons, teaching in an engaging and motivational way. Teachers should prepare work aimed at the appropriate level of the students. The post holder will report directly to the Assistant Director (Academic Studies – STEM) and will teach Engineering, Technology and Maths lessons.

Applicants should hold a good quality degree in a STEM subject and preferably have a PGCE in that discipline along with at least one year’s teaching experience.

Proficiency in both spoken and written English and previous experience of living or working in the UK is essential.
